The position of a robot or AGV can be determined in several ways:
 
  • Mapping of the surroundings and reference to a plan or map is one possibility.
  • Determination of position relative to landmark points, natural or artificial.

Our ultra compact LIDAR devices provide detailed information about the surrounding environment which can assist in determining position. They are capable of outputting continuous time stamped digital mapping coordinates.

Our Hokuyo scanning LiDAR sensors are ultra compact and lightweight. They provide detailed real time information on surroudings for navigation.

With many different configurations of weight, scanning range, scanning angle, scanning speed, resolution, protection rating and interface there really is a Hokuyo LiDAR sensor for lots of navigational applications.
