UXM-30LN
The Hokuyo tough URG is a robust, failsafe obstacle detector for use in outdoor environments.
Japanese demand for a car parking sensor led to development of this enhanced UTM-30LN sensor.
The optics have been further improved over and above the UTM-30LN with exceptional performance in "brightly lit" or outdoor environments and excellent results even on black "non reflective" objects.
Suppression of "noise" which can typically cause false alarms has also been achieved. Thus the sensor will perform well in adverse weather conditions including rain and snow, and it can be set up to disregard the movement of leaves in the wind or even the presence of rodents or other small animals.
Although larger than the familiar ultra compact Hokuyo scanners the unit is surprisingly light weighing in at less than 1Kg including cables.
We see the UXM-30LN being used for optimisation of city centre car parking and within industrial and agricultural sectors.
