Effective navigation is a challenge to mobile robotics and autonomous vehicles. GPS does not work indoors and alternative systems either do not provide accurate positioning or rely on expensive and inflexible infrastructure such as rails, beacons or magnetic strips.
Accerion has developed a breakthrough positioning system which can be integrated into automated vehicles and mobile robots. The technology uses naturally occurring floor-based landmarks and combines relative and absolute data. This provides robust operation and sub-mm accuracy, ensuring continuous reliable positioning.
